Peppermint Bark

by

Disclaimer: I made this one up based on other barks I’ve tasted; it’s not an official recipe, but it works!

2 bags white chocolate morsels
1 bag semi-sweet chocolate morsels
10 candy canes, chopped (in a bag, pounded with a meat cleaver on the counter, very high-tech)
Parchment paper

In a glass mixing bowl, melt the dark chocolate morsels for 30 seconds in the microwave. Remove from microwave, stir and heat for another 20-30 seconds. Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet and spread the dark chocolate with a wooden spoon. Let cool in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

Next, melt the white chocolate morsels for 45 seconds in the microwave. Remove from microwave, stir and heat for anther 20-30 if needed. Mix in chopped candy canes, save a bit to sprinkle on the top. Spread the white chocolate mixture on the cooled dark chocolate, sprinkle remaining chopped candy canes on top.

Cool again in the refrigerator for 45 minutes. When cutting into squares, it’s best to let the candy warm to room temperature so there’s less breakage. It’s ready to eat!
