Brownies

1 stick butter
1 cup water
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup veg. oil
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, sugar, salt and soda. Set aside. Combine cocoa, oil, water and butter in sauce pan. Bring to boil. Pour over flour mixture and mix well. Add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla and mix well. Bake 20 minutes.

Icing

1/4 cup butter
3 tbsp. cocao
3 tbsp. buttermilk
2 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine butter, cocoa and buttermilk in saucepan. Bring to boiling. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and powered sugar. Beat till smooth. Pour warm frosting over brownies. Cool on wire rack.
