It was Friday around noon, the refrigerator in our office was void of frozen lunches and, needless to say, we were hungry. Instead of the usual I-forgot-to-bring-lunch-run-next-door-to-grab-a-sandwich at Il Fo, we decided to head over to Delta Dog, the hot dog stand near Downtown Plaza that we’d been eyeing for months from the corner window of Vanessa’s office. And we’re glad we did!
Menu options at Delta Dog for that day included a polish dog, a hot link, a Hebrew National hot dog and a turkey sandwich. We tried the polish dog and hot link – both were filling and grilled to perfection. It was hard not to start eating on the walk back to the office, but once back at our desks we were all happy that we’d officially discovered a new lunch destination!

Thanks for the great tip. I am so there. (I work a few blocks away.)
While I know hot dogs probably aren’t the best foodie item for my health, every once in a while you just have to go a little wild.

Delta Dog has moved on up like the Jefferson’s. They are currently located in the Downtown Plaza Mall, and is currently looking to open an inline space in the food court as well. In the food court there will be an array of barbecue and soul food. If you liked the dogs you will love the barbecue.
