Calling all foodies and wine lovers! The 11th Annual Save Mart Grape Escape will be coming to Cesar Chavez Park in downtown Sacramento on Saturday, June 1st! Grape Escape is Northern California’s premier food and wine event boasting more than 200 award-winning California wines paired with the region’s best local cuisine.
This is your chance to discover uniquely delicious wines from the Central Valley and the Sierra Foothills, while also tasting some of the best foods from Sacramento’s amazing restaurant scene. Grape Escape will take you on a journey through eight of California’s emerging wine regions including: Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin and Yolo. Participating restaurants include some of our favorites: James Beard award-winning Fat’s Restaurant, Grange, Seasons 52, Temple Coffee House, Ten 22 and many more!
To top off the evening, Grape Escape will be featuring a sizzling Chef’s Challenge – a thrilling battle between local chefs competing to create the perfect dish with a basket of ingredients and 25 minutes to prepare the meal. The judges are Don Dickinson, the Culinary Division Director at the Institute of Technology’s Culinary Arts Division, and one of our favorites, Chef Adam Pechal from Tuli and Restaurant Th13teen.
This is the ultimate culinary experience you won’t want to miss!
