Quick Slurp: Tomato Bisque Soup

January 16, 2009 by SacFoodies

Where: Paul Martin’s American Bistro
What: A fresh-tasting and intensely satisfying tomato bisque that was featured a few weeks ago on the ever-changing seasonal menu at the Roseville locavore restaurant.
Why: There’s just something about a steaming bowl of creamy tomato soup on a cold winter evening that makes this girl happy. Just don’t slurp too loudly – people will stare.
Cost: About $7

There Tomato Bisque is decen. But Il forno in Gold River has the best by far! It’s made to order and knock your socks off, especially with their bread!!

    Thanks,
    Tammy

Hi Tammy – So sorry, we don’t have the soup recipe! I just had the soup at the restaurant, but didn’t try to recreate it at home. If you come across a good recipe, let us know!

Hey — I went to high school in elk grove and I’m coming home to visit in a bit, and I heard that was a newish restaurant in Sac that had a lot of vegan options — you guys should find out about it and review it! 🙂
    The tomato bisque looks amazing.
