Tightwad Tuesday: Do You Groupon?

If you’re like me and love a great bargain, you are going to love Groupon! For those of you unfamiliar with Groupon, it’s a Website that features daily deals on the best stuff to do, see, buy and eat in various cities across the U.S. and in Canada.  We’ve been anxiously waiting for Groupon to make its way to Sacramento and couldn’t be happier that the deals are officially here to stay!

Here’s the catch- you can only get the daily deal if the required amount of people sign up for that same deal, that same day. This means that telling your friends and spreading the word is crucial to your bargain-hunting success on Groupon!

You can get daily deals on admission prices to museums, show tickets, spa services and can even buy a Groupon as a gift for someone else.

And for all you foodies, just last month Groupon, Sacramento was offering $25 worth of Ethiopian cuisine and drinks at Queen Sheba for only $10! Now that sounds like my kind of deal!

We love a good food bargain and are standing by for more to come from Groupon, Sacramento!

Have you had success with Groupon yet?  Leave us a comment and tell us what you bought!

I signed up and was disappointed by the initial offers but they seem to be getting much better. Definitely worth signing up for!! The editorials that come along with all the offers are usually fun to read too even if the offer isn’t relevant to your interests.

    – 57% Off at Capital Athletic Club
    – 59% Off Classes at Rise Yoga Studio
    – Half Off at Sacramento Comedy Spot

    Can’t be bad.

I agree Mark but I’m looking forward to seeing what comes up. I actually signed up for the Capital Athletic Club one myself – now we’ll see if I ever make it to the gym!

I bought the $25 for Five Best Car Washes With Tire Shine at Quick Quack Car Wash ($50 Value).
There are other websites which offer local daily deals. I personally like Adility. Here you can see all daily deals in Sacramento in one place.

I just bought Picaboo (photobook site) offer $25 for $100 certificate. The listing was under another city. (Little Rock) None of the local deals have interested me yet. Great to have Groupon here though!
