Saturday, March 12
15th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival- Bagpipes, drum corps, Irish step dancers, costumed marchers, and festive pageantry, all bring the luck of the Irish to parade watchers during Sacramento’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The annual parade has filled the streets of Old Sacramento for more than a decade with more than 500 costumed marchers, military regiments, marching bands, uniformed police and fire professionals, cultural organizations, and much more. There’s plenty to see and do before and after the parade, as the streets of Old Sacramento come alive in a family-friendly event. The parade begins at 1pm near the Crocker Art Museum and finishes at the Old Sacramento State Historic Park, where the festival takes place from 12:00-6:00pm. St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl- Start your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations early by joining in on 5hundy Social Club’s St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl this Saturday from 2:00pm-1:30am. The pub crawl kicks off at River City Saloon before making its way to more than20 bars and ending at Shenanigans. More information is available online.
St. Patty’s Mardi Gras Dinner & Show- Come celebrate two of the biggest party days of the year at the Sacramento Blues Society’s St. Patty’s Day Mardi Gras. Enjoy a fabulous corned beef & cabbage dinner and dance to the beat of the Bayou Boys. Don’t know how to dance to Zydeco music? No worries, there will be dance lessons, too! Get Your Green on at Ten 22- Ten 22 will celebrate the luck of the Irish with a modern twist on Corned Beef and Cabbage paired with some Shamrock’n drink specials – sip on a Champagne Patty, cheers to a Sham on the Rocks or wash it all down with an Irish Mudslide. St. Patrick’s Day Party in the Park- This year de Vere’s Irish Pub and the Downtown Sacramento Partnership have teamed up to throw the ultimate St. Patrick’s Day Festival. The Party in the Park will be bigger and better than ever, taking place at Cesar Chavez Park (corner of J St & 9th St). Enjoy live music performances and local food provided by de Vere’s Irish Pub, The Grange, Mulvaney’s, Shady Lady and Tuli Bistro. The party is from 10:00 to 10:00pm. St. Patrick’s Day Pub Party- Visit de Vere’s Irish Pub on St. Patrick’s Day for an authentic Irish experience. Enjoy the beautiful woodwork, family heirlooms, friendly banter, and of course, the perfect pint of Guinness (a specialty they’ve mastered). As soon as the pub doors open at 8:00am, Irish coffees will be piping hot and ready to serve. At 11:00am, de Vere’s will close down the sidewalks and open their outside venue, which will include an outdoor kitchen serving traditional Irish fare (like corned beef and cabbage) as well as a stage featuring live entertainment throughout the day. St. Paddy’s R District Pub Crawl– Head on over to the R Street District (R Street between 14th & 15th) on Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00am for a day and night filled with drinks, eats and music! Lucky to Kiss a Stranger at McCormick & Schmick’s (client)- McCormick & Schmick’s (Sacramento and Roseville locations) will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all day long with traditional Irish fare like Corned Beef Sliders, Guinness-Steamed Shrimp and Guinness-Steamed Mussels available in the bar, as well as Corned Beef Sandwiches, Corned Beef & Cabbage and Lamb Stew available in the dining room. For thirsty guests, they will also be serving up traditional Irish drinks such as Ireland’s popular Guinness Draught and the Dublin Bulldog, as well as McCormick & Schmick’s very own “Leprechaun Kiss” cocktail.
