This is a borderline foodie foul (okay, penalty if we’re talking football) but this tried-and-true dip has been a part of many of our football parties over the years. It’s not exactly gourmet but we all love a quick and easy recipe every now and then, especially when we’re serving a house full of beer-drinking guests. Here’s “the catch,” there’s only two ingredients:
1 can chili con carne, no beans
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese (room temperature)
Pour can of chili into microwave-safe bowl. Cut cream cheese into chunks and place in bowl. Mix so cream cheese is evenly dispersed. Microwave on high for two minutes. Stir. Microwave on high for an additional two minutes. Stir and serve with tortilla chips.
That’s it. I recommend doubling the recipe as it goes quick! I made it for the Sac Foodies yesterday and I think I can safely say I scored a touchdown with this one.

This is a favorite of my family as well. We like to serve it with Frito Scoops. Yum!

This dip is even better using Stagg Laredo chili. Has a hint of jalepeno.
