This Thursday, November 14, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., the Old Sugar Mill is hosting a tasting of the region’s most unknown yet most versatile varietals: Chenin Blanc and Petit Sirah. These two varietals are produced in every major wine region in the world. However, Clarksburg is the only winegrowing region where they both flourish together. The two varietals will be presented by 30 different area wineries. Guests can enjoy live music while sipping wine alongside food from the region’s best chefs.
Participating restaurants and food offerings include: Tuli, Scott’s Seafood Grill and Bar, Supper Club, Matteo’s Pizza and Bistro, Crocker Café, Beth Sogaard Catering, Sima’s and California Wine Wafer. Participating wineries include: The Terraces at Quarry Vineyards, Clarksburg Wine Company, Picnic Wine Co., Cedar Creek Ranch and Vineyard, Charles Krug, Bogle Vineyards, HandCraft Artisan Collection Wines, Pine Ridge Vineyards, Trentadue, PS I Love You, Andis Wines, Rendez-vous Winery, Wilson Vineyards, Miro Cellars, Lava Cap Winery, Heringer Estates Family Vineyards and Winery, Three Wines and Miner’s Leap.
