I love everything about a perfectly ripe mango. From its vibrant sunset colors, to its rich, subtly sweet and slightly tangy flavor – mangoes are my all-time favorite fruit.
On a recent trip to the grocery store, I decided to spice things up with this beloved fruit by adding it to a simple salsa recipe I’ve created countless times before.
This recipe is healthy, delicious and slightly addicting. As an incredibly easy snack (or app, or topping), it’s perfect paired with your favorite chips for hot days by the pool, lazy nights in, or topped on grilled halibut for dinner. The best part about this salsa (other than the fact that it has mangoes) is that it requires less than 10 ingredients and less than 10 minutes to make. Enjoy!
What you’ll need:
- 1 ripe mango, diced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 medium avocado, diced
- Jalapeño chili, minced, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, minced, to taste
- ½ fresh lime
- Salt, Pepper and Crushed Red Pepper, to taste
Directions:
Dice all ingredients: mangoes, tomatoes and avocadoes and put in a bowl. Mince cilantro and jalapeño and add to bowl. Sprinkle salt, pepper and red pepper flakes to taste. Squeeze fresh lime into bowl. Enjoy.
