What do Strawberry, Mixed Berry and Vanilla Honey Have in Common?

by

They’re all delicious flavors in Starbucks’ new line of Vivanno™ Yogurt Smoothies – and they’re all available in Sacramento now!

On June 30, select local Starbucks locations added three new flavors reportedly made fresh with natural, high-quality ingredients, including non-fat probiotic yogurt, fruit juice and honey. Here at Sac Foodies we were lucky enough to give each smoothie a thorough taste test earlier this week and are pleased to report that the smoothies passed with flying colors! The jury is still out on whether Strawberry or Vanilla Honey is the favorite, but we unanimously concluded that if you’re a Starbucks regular looking to mix up the morning routine, they’re worth a shot.

Tempted? We’ll make it just a little easier for you to give Vivanno™ Yogurt Smoothies a try:

Leave a comment below telling us what your go-to Starbucks order consists of, and you’ll automatically be entered to win one of two $25 Starbucks gift cards that we’re giving away!

Two winners will be selected at random on Friday, July 10 at 12 PM PST.

And, don’t forget to enter a slogan in our Sac Foodies t-shirt contest – see the below post for details!

I’m a tall skinny vanilla latte kind of girl. iced in the summer hot in the winter!

  • Erin | Jul 8, 2009 at 11:00 am

I always get a Venti soy Misto – but when I want something cold, I do love the Vivanno Banana Smoothies!

I’m a plain and true drip coffee gal. I’m a fan of the Pike’s Market Blend either iced or hot.

  • Teressa | Jul 8, 2009 at 11:17 am

I am a big coffee drinker and most of the time will order what pops into my head at the counter, as long as it has coffee in it (or plain coffee with no cream or sugar) I will be a happy girl!

  • Wendy Walton | Jul 8, 2009 at 11:19 am

I get a medium iced mocha for me, a kid’s chocolate milk with half the chocolate, and a kid’s hot chocolate with whipped cream and half the chocolate for my boys!

Venti Nonfat Latte … every time.

  • Ashlee Gadd | Jul 8, 2009 at 11:23 am

tall nonfat extra hot black and white mocha with no whip….how’s that for low maintenance?

  • Carrie Blincoe | Jul 8, 2009 at 11:31 am

I mix it up a bit….iced non-fat chai tea latte with two pumps of chocolate syrup…YUM!

  • Caitlin McDonald | Jul 8, 2009 at 11:31 am

Medium iced americano…with NF milk and 2 splenda. Nothing beats this on a hot Sacramento day!

  • Blake Fenstermaker | Jul 8, 2009 at 11:37 am

Venti iced NF latte. Add a couple splenda and its amazing.

  • George R Perry | Jul 8, 2009 at 11:59 am

Grande Mocha Frappacino in the warmer months. Grande gingerbread latte in the cold months.

  • Lesley | Jul 8, 2009 at 12:01 pm

    I’m loving these giveaways!

I’m a “small” or “medium” iced chai tea latte in the summertime. A “small” caramel hot cider in the winter. No coffee for me! And I still can’t keep the tall/grande/venti straight.

  • Adam | Jul 8, 2009 at 12:04 pm

Weekend mornings are always the same. Large (I refuse to call sizes anything other than small, medium, or large) black coffe, anything but Pike’s Place, for myself, and a small nonfat latte for M’lady, who is quite the sleeper inner. I always gotta get 3 of the mini vanilla bean scones. Usually i’ll eat all three, but sometimes I share if my girlfriend is lucky. On a hot day you cannot compete with a large iced chai tea. It is the snip snap sack (which means awesome)

  • Kaysee | Jul 8, 2009 at 12:11 pm

I am a skinny vanilla latte girl most days, but also really like an iced chai tea latte! Yum!

  • Jacqueline | Jul 8, 2009 at 12:19 pm

After despising the taste of coffee for most of my life, I am now a dedicated fan of Starbucks. I never stray from my grande coffee in a venti cup (more room to prevent spilling!) order. I look back on the years I didn’t drink coffee and wonder how I ever survived!

  • Roger Linder | Jul 8, 2009 at 12:30 pm

Me: Grande Raspberry Chai Tea Latte (hot)
Wife: Grande Five-pump Decaf Skinny Vanilla Latte (hot)

  • Claire Fadden | Jul 8, 2009 at 2:14 pm

    I’m a non-fat mocha — with whipped cream.

  • kimberlee | Jul 8, 2009 at 2:28 pm

grande drip with room for cream. easy peasy!

  • Jeff | Jul 8, 2009 at 2:54 pm

Every morning–venti iced coffee, sub sugar free vanilla. My Starbucks does trivia, so sometimes with a free shot of espresso added.

  • amy | Jul 8, 2009 at 3:30 pm

unsweetened black iced tea. Hits the spot every time.

  • Jon | Jul 8, 2009 at 3:48 pm

    Tall mocha…… wait for it… & a bearclaw. :(

  • carolina | Jul 8, 2009 at 4:25 pm

I get a poor man’s coffee con leche. I get two shots of espresso and then I add a little milk on my own. Now that is cheap — I really need the gift card.

  • Matt | Jul 8, 2009 at 5:29 pm

Tall Pike’s Place in a Grande cup — nonfat milk with sugar

  • Nate | Jul 8, 2009 at 5:55 pm

Iced Single Shot Venit Vanilla Latte…. not overbearing on the espresso flavor, but just enough caffeine to get me going!

  • Chuck | Jul 8, 2009 at 8:17 pm

    I am a Grande, Non-fat, No-whip, White Mocha….

  • Julia Conant | Jul 8, 2009 at 9:39 pm

  • Cody Galloway | Jul 9, 2009 at 1:37 pm

Grande Iced Coffee with 3 pumps sugar free hazelnut and a splash of soy milk (tastes like a hazelnut soy latte but costs half as much!) yummmmmm

I’m all about the Venti White Chocolate Mocha, no whip

  • Jeannie | Jul 10, 2009 at 10:03 am

I always wind up back at a tall latte, unless it’s summer and I go for a tall americano…I like the look of the half and half swirling into the coffee, and some of those brown sugar crystals on the top.

  • josh | Jul 10, 2009 at 10:56 am

tall Americano. room for just a wee bit o’ cream

  • Sara Rose | Jul 10, 2009 at 10:58 am

Every now and then I treat myself to a tall pasion iced tea with half lemonade from Starbucks, it is a wonderful summer refresher! Thank you so much for entering me! Have a super day!

Venti Quad Iced Black and White Mocha..

    mmm

    was i too late ?!

  • Jessica H. | Jul 20, 2009 at 11:47 am

I love iced nonfat lattes in the summer. I usually let the ice melt until they’re just little chips so I can crunch them with each sip.
