In the foodie world, there’s one name that resonates above all others. She’s been a mother to some, a confidant to others, and a teacher to most of us. Who am I talking about? Why, the one and only Julia Child, of course!
You may be well aware of the latest tribute to this legendary foodie – Sony’s (an FH client) Julie & Julia starring Meryl Streep as Julia Child and Amy Adams as food blogger Julie Powell. The movie tells a story near and dear to our foodie blogger hearts and has undoubtedly resonated highly with many of you!
We’re excited to announce that the Julie & Julia Blu-ray and DVD hit stores today – and we have one to give away!

As Julia would say, Bon Appétit!

I wouldn’t say it was a Julia Child herself moment but the a Dan Ackroyd playing Julia child moment. I remember seeing this when I was younger on SNL.
Jennifer Millsap says
I loved that she wore heels in the kitchen! I’ve done it, and it’s not as easy as she makes it look!

Do I have to be incredibly clever or just lucky?
BTW, it only took me four months, but I finally made it over to Delta Dog, based on your review, and I just had one of the best hot dogs I can remember.
Where do I pick up my DVD?
Thanks for the foodie tips. You keep doing your great job and I’ll do mine (the eating and drinking part).

Love Julia Child, Love Meryll Streep, Love Jaques Pepin…can’t wait to see the movie and frankly embarrassed to admit that I haven’t!
I love her for many reasons but thank her for the foundation of COPIA! The American Center for Wine, Food and the Arts in Napa and her pursuit to “advance the understanding, appreciation and quality of wine and food.” Love that it is here in California..

Julie lived in Montecito, where I went to college. My fav memory is when a friend saw her in the grocery store. Only wish it had been me that saw her! Can I win?!

My favorite Julia Child memory is her wearing the chef-type blue denim apron with a towel draped over the waist ties.

My favorite is actually from a friend who used to live in Boston. He saw her on the T (public transit) and actually got to talk to her… wow.
