Mark your calendars-May 1st is the Point West Rotary Club’s 8th Annual Festa di Vino! A few SacFoodies attended this event last year and had a great time sampling local food and wine and even took a quick ride on the Aerospace museum’s flight simulator.
Festa di Vino will take place at the Aerospace Museum of California from 7-10 p.m. and will feature tastings from more than 20 wineries including Rail Bridge Cellars, Pedroncelli and Latcham Vineyards. Restaurants and sweet treats such as PF Chang’s, 33rd Street Bistro and Cupcake Craving will also be on hand to tempt your taste buds.
Not only will you sample great wine and food, a portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit Women’s Empowerment, a program that helps Sacramento’s homeless women find homes and jobs so they can support their families. The Point West Rotary Club of Sacramento has contributed over $1 million to area charities in their 25 years of service.
What better way to ring in the month of May than with wine, music, and food? To be a part of this special event, you can purchase tickets here for $50, OR for a chance to win tickets right here on SacFoodies, simply visit the event Website and leave us a comment here or on our Facebook page telling us which wine or food vendor you are most excited to try to be entered in our giveaway. On Tuesday, we will pick two lucky winners who will each get a pair of tickets to Festa di Vino!

I am most excited about Iron Steak. They have had two Bee reviews within the last 6 months. The first provided some feedback regarding the training of servers. The restaurant responded seriously to these comments, hiring someone to train the server staff. The reviewer wrote a second piece highlighting the incredible improvement in the professional servers. He also discussed his role as a restaurant critic – including honesty, integrity, and taking responsibility for having the first review be a little harsher in print than he intended. On their website, the restaurant acknowledged their appreciation to him for the re-review. I think this is a positive outcome for all. Peaks my curiosity about Iron Steak – and I certainly am impressed that they took this feedback as an opportunities to improve by providing professional staff training.

I can’t wait to taste what the ARC students whip up. The Oak Cafe is a great place to eat- the menu constantly changes. So I would look forward to what the students have to offer.

I agree I’d love to try the Oak Cafe from ARC. And even though I’ve already had Rail Bridge wine at a Whole Foods cooking class, I’d love to have my husband try it.

I have never been to Espanol Restaurant, but have heard great things about it, so I would love to try anything from there! I have tried Madrona wines and love em!

Hello!
I came across this blog through another blog (Amber’s Awake at the Whisk). My fiance and I are moving to Fair Oaks on Friday (yay!) and are excited to enter what we have now found to be a foodie heaven. We love fresh, organic, and local and support any industry offering these types of items! That said, mainly we’d love to attend this event so we can sample a variety of the local food and wine. This is right up are alley and we would buy tickets without a second thought if we had the extra cash. Unfortunately all these moving expenses have taken a toll on our wallets. =/ So, if we’re lucky enough to receive free tickets, we’d appreciate it ever so greatly!
Thank you for the consideration!
