Win a $20,000 diamond ring by participating in this year’s Race for the Rock, a text message-based treasure hunt that raises funds to benefit programs at Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services (an FH client).
On June 5th at 10 a.m., teams of two will embark on a race through downtown Sacramento, on bike or on foot, in search of clues that will lead to the final prize – a $20,000 Hearts on Fire diamond solitaire ring! To be a part of this great event, register online here and pay the entry fee of $40 per team. 100% of the entry fee benefits Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services!
Each team entry includes:
- A chance to win diamond jewelry from Hearts on Fire and A. Jaffe, jewelry from Pandora, watches from TAG Heuer, Tissot, Seiko and Bulova.
- Two Race for the Rock t-shirts
- Access to the “After Party” at House Kitchen and Bar where a full-plate lunch will be provided, including their Carolina-style pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw and baked beans! We’ve been to House many a time and highly recommend it – a few dishes we’ve tried are the 5 cheese elbow mac ‘n cheese, the drunken chicken salad and the black bean burger – delish!

We’re giving away a Zagat guide to Sacramento Restaurants! Participating in Race for the Rock? Leave us a comment telling us what part of the race you are looking forward to the most. Who knows, maybe studying the Zagat guide will help you win the race!

Heard of the race through word of mouth and i’m super excited to try out my mad texting and mobile skills. Hoping to win the grand prize and then move on to the Amazing Race ;D
Thanks to Sacfoodies, I’m now really looking forward to lunch (after I win of course!)
