Though Sacramento Beer Week has come to a close, have no fear foodies, we’ve got you covered. The 3rd Annual Sacramento Food & Film Festival kicks off next Thursday and it’s sure to be a perfect blend of authentic Sacramento flavors and food-themed documentaries that will leave you a more fulfilled foodie. All proceeds of this ten-day festival will benefit the California Food Literacy Center, a local nonprofit here in Sacramento, working to provide low-income children with food education for a more sustainable future.
Here’s the food and film lineup running from Thursday, March 20 through Sunday, March 30 :
Thursday, March 20, 6-9 p.m.:
Food Film Festival Red Carpet Premiere at Ten22. Enjoy appetizers while watching the award-winning Spinning Plates!
Saturday, March 22, 7 p.m.:
Enjoy tastings from Ruhstaller’s brand new Nugget beer and delicious bites from Adam Pechal while watching Beer Wars. All the fun occurs at The Sterling Hotel.
Tuesday, March 25, 7 p.m.:
Watch the film Bottle Shock while enjoying a delicious four-course meal at Lucca based on the film! Check out the menu here.
Wednesday, March 26, 6:30 p.m.:
Sit back and enjoy the film Cafeteria Man for FREE at The Guild Theater.
Friday, March 28, 6-9 p.m.:
Selland’s will offer a family spaghetti dinner while enjoying Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. All the fun will happen at the Clunie Center at McKinley Park.
Saturday, March 29, 5 p.m.:
Enjoy a free screening of The Slow Food Story at the Guild Theater.
Sunday, March 30, 4-6 p.m.:
Enjoy Sweet Sexy Ocean, a documentary on sea urchin harvesting at Sunh Fish in midtown. You can also look forward to a sushi and uni tasting from Kru!
