Track 7 Brewing Company
Meet Track 7 Brewing Company.
Located in a small strip-mall-style warehouse space in a Curtis Park neighborhood off of Sutterville Road, Track 7 embodies everything meant by the word “handcrafted.” Upon walking through the rolled-up garage door entrance to the tap room, visitors not only see all of the brewing action, but feel as if they’ve become part of a family.
From family-style picnic table seating to cups of Goldfish crackers or pretzels for snacking, patrons are made to feel at home (plus, the tap room is both child- and dog-friendly and both are usually found on any given visit). The tap room is an open extension of the brewery and one of Track 7’s two brewers can often be seen hard at work.
According to their website, the name Track 7 Brewing Company was selected in part due to the brewery’s proximity to the old Western Pacific railroad tracks, and as a nod to the railroad’s rich history in Sacramento. With five brews on tap representing a number of beer styles, most beer aficionados will find something to please their palate.

Wordless Wednesday: Angele Restaurant & Bar
It may be warming up, but a hearty bowl of soup is the perfect comfort food year-round. A drive to Napa and about $9 will get you a satisfying bowl of Soupe Gratinée à l’Oignon (or simply, French Onion Soup) at Angéle Restaurant & Bar on Main Street. Bon appétit!
Jack’s Urban Eats, Terminal B, Sacramento International Airport
What usually comes to mind when you think of airport dining? If you’re like me, then the words “pre-packaged” or “generic” would be in there somewhere.
However, those usual airport dining connotations are nowhere to be found in the Sacramento International Airport’s new Terminal B, which features local restaurants (and SacFoodies favorites), such as Burgers & Brew, Cafeteria 15L and Jack’s Urban Eats.
Before boarding a flight, I recently stopped at Jack’s for a quick made-to-order salad and a side of heavenly Urban Fries: crispy French fries topped with a generous amount of melty bleu cheese and sprinkled with red pepper flakes, chili oil and parsley.
These fries are the perfect reward for making it through the security line.
