On May 5th the Capitol Mall California-Grown Certified Farmers’ Market returned for summer.
The SacFoodies have been enjoying the market, which runs from May-September every Thursday from 10:00am – 1:30pm between 5th and 6th Street.
Capitol Mall was overflowing with local produce.
Lunch vendors include House, Ambrosia Cafe, 4th Street Grille, Yolanda’s Tamales, Golden Rice Bowl, Big Joe’s BBQ and Grateful Bread.
The market offers fruits, vegetables, baked goods, flowers, herbs, and cheeses.

The 3rd annual Race for the Ring, benefitting our friends at the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, is coming to Sacramento on Saturday, May 21. The race is a text-message-based scavenger hunt on bicycles (or any non-motorized form of transportation) where participants solve clues in hopes of winning amazing prizes such as bicycles and diamond jewelry.
