Summer is in full swing and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by having some fun in the sun and good food! Because is fun really fun without food? Check out these fun food events all happening this Saturday.
THIS is Midtown
This is not your average block party. Local artists like the LA Riots, Mike Diamond and My Cousin Vinny will be performing throughout the day rounded out by a beer garden and lots of vendors. The best part? This event is sponsored by Saint Archer Brewing Company, Pizzeria Urbano, LowBrau, and Azul Mexican food and Tequila Bar making it a FREE event! The Midtown Bizarre July
Identity Coffee is hosting their monthly pop-up shop on Saturday July 8. Vendors and artisans from around the area will be there selling goods and answering questions regarding their crafts. Bring the whole family and enjoy a cup of amazing, fresh brewed coffee while you shop.

The 9th annual Sacramento Cocktail Week is officially underway! If you’re unfamiliar with Sacramento’s established cocktail scene, this is the perfect opportunity to catch up on what you’ve been missing. The event series and celebration is all about uniting local bartenders, fine spirits, fresh products and artisan cocktails.

Sacramento Named a Top Destination for Cocktails in 2013

Sacramento is oftentimes overlooked for its vast array of culinary and beverage options. But thanks to a recent article in Imbibe Magazine, the Capitol City is getting the attention it deserves for the bounty of craft libations available – it was named one of the top 75 destinations for cocktails among the places, people and flavors to watch in the new year. 
The designation comes after the region played host to events such as Midtown Cocktail Week, which will celebrate its sixth event this year, and for the various cocktail hot spots popping up in town, such as Pour House, Hook and Ladder and Red Rabbit.
So the next time you sit down for your favorite drink, be sure to raise your glass and cheers to Sacramento!
